Terms of Use

These terms apply to the AIDoJournal apps for macOS, iOS and iPadOS ("the app") published by Mathieu Barnachon ("we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms take precedence to the extent permitted.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store usage rules.

2. Your content

Everything you write, attach or generate in AIDoJournal is yours. We claim no rights to it and, as described in the privacy policy, we never receive it. You are responsible for backing it up (iCloud sync, export) and for any content you choose to send to a third-party AI provider with your own key.

3. AI-generated content

Summaries, agent responses, reflections, podcasts and image descriptions are produced by machine-learning models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Review them before relying on them. Agents can take actions such as creating calendar events; you remain responsible for actions taken with tools you enabled.

4. AIDoJournal Premium subscription

• Premium is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the App Store. Euro prices are €5 per month or €50 per year. Eligible new subscribers receive a 7-day trial on the monthly plan or a 14-day trial on the yearly plan. Only one introductory offer is available per subscription group. After the trial, the subscription automatically renews at the regular price unless cancelled. Local prices and eligibility are shown in the app before purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period at the then-current price.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.
• MLX models and voices require compatible Apple silicon hardware and sufficient memory and storage. iCloud sync requires an Apple Account with iCloud available. Connections to external AI providers use your own API key and may incur separate provider charges. Free features remain available without a subscription.

5. Third-party services

Optional integrations (remote AI providers, Hugging Face model downloads, weather, maps, web search, MCP clients) are provided by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or conduct.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to circumvent purchase verification.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Subscriptions continue until the end of the paid period.
